A Blog with a DiffeRence !: [ How to ] Remove Search Bar from Embedded Videos [ Youtube ]

  • Jim · 1 year ago
Uber lame update indeed. Thanks for this fix! My embed code is a bit different, however ... note the placement of the fix that worked for me:

    ... embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IgHuDC5ylLI;showsearch=0" ...

Also Note: Placing the fix in within the param tag is unnecessary ... i.e.: value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IgHuDC5ylLI"

And, including a space before the semicolon killed the video, replacing it with a white screen.

    Thanks again!

Hey Jim , thanks for the comment and this should be helpful for readers , since " generally " the embedding code has a " url and then a &hl=en&fs=1 after it " but yours didn't and readers could have been confused , thanks i shall digg up your comment :)

Stay tuned in for more !

At the same time it could potentially keep visitors on your site. I just looked up pee-wee herman on your site and there the creepy little man is all 1,661 of him.

True , i mean it can keep people searching videos on your blog itself but it can be other way round as well , i mean it distraction can lead to ignorance too !
